Our Mission
The mission of the Information Access Center is to support education and to be a fundamental part of the teaching-learning process, providing the information resources required to meet its patrons' needs.
As an expression of our mission and in order to offer services to the university and to the external community, we have developed the Virtual Library Project. Computer science and technological advances have allowed us to develop a library without walls. We can now offer an exchange of information and resources with the rest of the world through a virtual environment, experiencing new forms of communication and interaction with a variety of interconnected locations.
The fundamental objective of the Virtual Library is to respond to the needs of students, faculty and other community visitors, guiding them in the search and retrieval of information available through the Internet. The Virtual Library gives access to electronic databases and manuals, links to other web pages and information resources, digitalized documents, books and electronic publications in full text.
